it has been a very crappy, terrible which ever negative remarks you can think of will be the word to describe my week....anyway dont't want to talk too much...

So...

Wednesday....

everyone in the office got cravings for the roast chicken at Arab Street....so asked the despatch guy to go buy back for us....okie maybe the chicken in the picture looks burnt but it's not...maybe because of the lightings..haha...whatever it is it's nice and delicious....

went down today finally to eat it while it's hot....yum yum...

Today went home after work....and....okie every month i'm supposed to bring my parents out for a meal..so my dad suggested a place where he just found...finally i gotta drive...haah

here it is....

The Codfish Village...there are many way of serving the codfish....love it...codfish really taste nice man...


this time we try the claypot codfish head...the other time my dad bought the curry codfish head back home...we ate from 8pm to almost 10 because the fish head has got so much flesh...worth the money...it's only $15


this is 'fu yu' sweet potato leaves.....nice too...i love the taste.....and also we had the seafood soup.....

Overall experience: 3.5 out of 5 points....oh forgot to leak out the location...it is at toa payoh lorong 2....

finally meet gabbie for the first time yesterday after one month apart....was just nerve racking.....haha...he got tanner and slimer....haah...while got fairer and rounder....haha...hiak...whatever it is....i know he excepts me for who i am...that's enough....

headed down to glutton square at the esplanade for a big feast....we were busying buying lots of food till i forgot to snap a picture of what we bought....was a big spread for two person to eat...haha....we had hokkien mee, BBQ sting ray, satay, fried oyster....the sting ray came in huge portion....so we can't finished...was really nice to have dinner in such cool weather with light breeze....after which we just sit by the bay at the esplanade river to enjoy the wind and the cool evening....it was just so right....haven't been to the esplanade for the past month already....

nice evening came to an end when i need to head home to continue my project...

Oh! Gosh!.....it's giving me a headache.....

the loooonnnnng Wait.. .. ..

it's project day today...still struggling with my last project for this semester before the exams starts....but i still have no motivation or rather ideas though i found stuff in the internet....the words just don't come out right....hopefully can do much more tonight....


gabbie is coming home tonight.....can't wait to see him again...!!

Cantonese Dining @ Chef Chan

my whole morning and afternoon was destroyed by the knocking and drilling of the renovation works at the residents' corner below my block....the noise had impaired my trend of thoughts and mood for studying and doing research for my project.....it was really a pain in my ears....in the end i only found a few articles and that's it....whole afternoon was ruined....

one consolation was that my dad had booked a table at Chef Chan's

this is gonna be another makansutra!...haha...(*yes,food again!*)

old cucumber with papaya, pear and white fugus....extremely tasty!


the roast chicken...it has been well roasted with all the fats taken away from under the skin...leaving it crispy....the meat tender and juicy....yum yum!


veggies.....don't remember the name but the brown stuff on top is 'mui choy'(which looks like salted veggie)...it's a tiny bit of bitter...all alright but not my favourite...

freshwater fish steamed in Hong Kong style....served in a fish-like plate....the fish looks too small for the plate....anyway does it looks like it weigh 500-600 grams?....



Recommended by the captain....a type of clam....the taste was alright but because i hate Garlics....so i had difficulty picking out the garlic...but the overall taste was good....i like the shell so i asked the waitress to pack it up for me...she looked at me as if i was a weirdo!...haha

my dad had green bean paste....he says it's nice....but for me i felt it taste awful....opps!...



my mum and i had the green tea glutinous ball...it's fried...inside the soft filling is peanut paste....not bad though i can't really taste the green tea....

that's all for the main dishes...had a great fill....

before we left....i saw some nice antiques....gives you the feeling like you were in a museum....

@ the Library on a Friday Evening

i have ever wondered what is the feeling of 'visiting' the library on a friday evening....now i know....you will hear the flipping of pages in the silence of the aircon sound....ain't it great....

meet my project mate to the new national library at bugis in the hope of finding useful materials for our proj and presentation....but first....we L.O.S.T our way in the library....yes....lost....don't laugh....i know it's amazing to get lost in the library...i was almost thankful that there was directions on the wall but heading to the information counter was a better choice...nevermind that the lady at the information counter gave us a puzzled look.....now we know that B1 is the central lending department and Level 8 is non-lending...

so before we head to the respectively sections we head to the toilet...

think it's rather unique to have the washing basins in the centre and automatic taps...and it's a no door restroom...

den we got up the lift...

hmmmm.....does it look like a kind of scene in a horror flick?....i don't know....i swear i didn't do any editing....

after that was just franticallly searching for books involving our topic.....hard to find but in the end found like 18 over books in 30 minutes and it was 8.15pm when the library is closing in 45 minutes' time....heck it....we just carry all the books and find an empty table to search for materials....there was a guy who was sitting opposite us looked strangely at me and pondered....

then he said:"hey we were in the same class in 2 semesters, right?".....

i gave the 'hmmm' look and recognised him....then i go:"Oh! yeah!..."....

after which he said:"that's a LOT of books you have!....do you have time to finish all of them?"

i felt embarressed and the whole feeling of 'kia-su-ness' came all over me....

really cannot make it....

i find that whichever library i go to...sure must get chased out one.....always stay till the library closes then satisfied....the other time was in Singapore Poly's library also got chased out when it was closing...still kanna warning to pack up 2 times and got "escorted" to the lift....

whatever it is...yesterday's meeting wasn't much fruitful except that my unknown friend gave us some advice since he did this subject last semester....so i got a rough idea of which direction to head to...

had a short 'bonding' session with my this project partner...chatted till 10 plus then went home....shagged....

Mid-Autum/food frenzy

Happy Mid-Autum Festival!...it's the moon cake festival again....but this year no carrying of lanterns....didn't have the mood to....

Anyway woke up late this morning and had a bad hair day....


nevermind....still can pose for another shot...i kinda like it....

coz im wearin my new belt....okie i know it's a lame reason....what to do...i am lame....haha...

Not much episode in the morning....went home after brunch....

Was looking at my dad prepare the necessary stuff for his prayers for the moon cake festival.....then i spotted the moon cakes he bought from Chef Chan....nice packaging....

it's a long box so the paper bag was quite long too....comes in a wooden case which says 'Chef Chan Cantonese Cuisine'...dad say to bring us there to eat one day....nice cantonese food they serve...and the moon cakes seated on orange cloths nicely packaged like the chinese teals (which is money for the anicient china)....

As i was cleaning my room around 3 plus my dad said to go down to chinatown for some tea break and to try some nice stuff he discovered....hmmmm.....

first stop to a shop which sell something called KoLo Mee....let's see...


setting like the old chinese road side stalls....wooden tables and chairs...and chopsticks....

their laksa...dark red....looks like the malay mee siam....have to squeeze lime too...

i had the char siew mee...nice....i don't know how to describe it...but the taste is just so nice....will go back for more!!!....

after that was desert...

we walk across to the next lane for this desert which serve only specific desert like almond paste, walnut paste, peanut paste, black sesame paste, egg pudding and pineapple tarts....etc...walnut paste and egg pudding was superb....

the whole stretch of chinatown road was blocked for the celebration of the moon cake festival....so it was crowded and pushy....

i am feeling so so so guilty....was 'supposed' to be on diet this month and exercise.....but i just can't find the time....feeling dooms day for me....haiz...

i wonder what my dad's install for us for dinner....

i woke up tremendously late today.....my auto clock in my brain seemed to be dead.....waking up at 10.30am has left me more sleeping germs in me...after getting a 'shock' impact when i woke up...i just sat on my bed for a few whole seconds to recollect what happened earlier on....and i recalled that gabbie actually called me to say that he was leaving for his final outfield trip for four days and would give me a call on tues night....shit!!....regret not waking up and....wth....i forgot how did i answer him....i think he will guessed as much i was still sleeping....(*sorry gabbie...*)....hope he understands.....i know he will....

so anyway.....had brunch with my parents at home and we mapped out the programme for the day....and so we decided to stomp down orchard road....yeah....it has been a while since i went shopping with my parents at orchard road....usually they would only walk for a while.....we decided not to drive as it will restrict our movements....because being the thrifty dad that i have was saying there'll be ERP and stuff....so we took the train down....first mission accomplished...it was actually quite fun to see my parents squeeze into the crowded train...

though it was meant to be shopping but i didn't buy anything....but nevermind...window shopping is just as fun....we actually walked into Gucci and my mum and i saw some nice designs and my dad offered to buy for us....was so tempted to say 'yes'....but nah....i rejected his offer....i don't think i need it now....moreover it feels much better if i bought it with my own money....hmmmm....

after walking for so long....our tummies started to growl....so my mum suggested the soup restaurant at paragon....onz....we went down.....

i was so tired....sat down immediately when i went in.....

see how tired i am....

then....

wait for mummy to make the decision of what to order.....which took her like 10 mins plus....hmmm....mums are all like that....have to choose the best for the family mah....

after much options....in the end decided on the set menu for 3 persons.....diao!!!

finally it's friday....the day i've been for this whole week....time was really moving slowly this week i don't know why.....but shouldn't be too happy because i should have start on my project which i didn't....my partner also went missing in action....don't seem to reply my sms-es....but anyway.....

had an appointment with wendy and kimberly for dinner and movie....decided to meet up since last week and we did!!...watched the Brothers Grimme.....it's quite a nice show with mixture of the walt disney's fairy tales like snow white, cinderella, little red ridding hood, blah blah blah....quite enchanting...though the meeting was a short one as all of us like super tired....on the other hand it was fruitful because a talked a lot just like the good old days in poly where we just talked loudly and laugh loudly and not bother about stares.....

after the show we were like walking out of the cinema feeling blurred and sway-ee....then a comotion started....wendy lost her handphone in the cinema....then kim keep calling her handphone to see if anyone had gotten her phone....lucky the person who picked up was a cathy staff....so her handphone was lost and now found....lucky wendy....

was only 10 plus so we decided to go down to get a drink and i spotted....

BELTS!!!!....one for $12....two for $20 so i bought 2...hahah....nice rattan-like belts made in Thailand....i know i boh liao but.....i have lagging in my shopping so cannot.....see anything i like must buy.....

okie i am tired now...gonna sleep...going down to orchard tomorrow!...

I MISS

my baby.....so badly...

it was the first time that i couldn't sleep because i was thinking of him...funny...hahah...it's been alreadi 18 days, 408 hrs that he left singapore....it will be another 10 more days to his return....

I'm waiting for you to come home, baby!!

wat else to say

was a slow yesterday.....and today isn't that fast either.....boring life again....see there i go again..."nagging" about how miserable my life is....guess wat my exam timetable is out....so got to start planning to make arrangements to study....handing in another report in two weeks time and i haven't really got started.....and later gonna chiong again...

that's beside the point....anyway the surroundings at my client's place looks like this....

when i came back from school last night....just feel like cutting away my long nails.....but kinda can't part with my nail art which stayed on perfectly fine after one and a half month....so decided to take a picture before i remove the nail polish...will recommend peeps who wants to do medi and pedi there...it's at amara hotel there....nail palace....reasonable price....

okie it's just extra toking this crap because i just had like dinner cum supper and i'm feeling too full to sleep now so i blog.....my daddy was so sweet to walk to mustafa that side to buy mee goreng for me when i said i was hungry....awwww....and it was like 11.30pm already when he was about to rest and go to bed....so touched.....gonna charge my ipod now and off to bed....
